A Creamy Concealer
My skin is mostly combination, but I suffer unnecessarily in the winter with flaking and dryness. The creamy Nars concealer is a light, perfect coverage option for my sensitive skin after exfoliating. When I need heavier coverage, it’s perfectly buildable.
A Lash Primer
If you want longer, fuller lashes, please try one of these lash primers! My all-time favorite is the Diorshow Maximizer 3D. The bottle lasts for quite some time. In an effort to save some money, I tested the Sephora brand lash primer, which didn’t disappoint. One significant difference between each is the type of bristle on each wand. The Diorshow wand has hard plastic bristles, fantastic for separating and lengthening. The Sephora brand primer has softer, fuller bristles, perfect for volume. My personal preference is the defined and lengthened look that Dior delivers.
The Perfect Rosy Blush
As the cooler months roll in and my ever-porcelain skin loses any tan that I gained through the summer, I shy away from any makeup with orange tints. Why? I tend to avoid orange coloring as it’s very visible on light skin tones. For a rosy or pinker tone, I seek out products with bluer undertones. The Nars Sin blush is amazing for the undertone I need and the rosy look I’m trying to achieve. My best friend Morgan and I tested the blush on our trip to Charleston to see how the coloring would vary. We have completely different skin tones, yet the blush looked stunning on her. I absolutely recommend this universal blush for the colder months to become!
Defined Eyes and Brows
For all of the women out there like me who wear liquid liner religiously, I suggest investing in a high-quality staple. I don’t think I’ve ever splurged this much on a liquid liner, but I am willing to eat air and drink water each month to afford it if I have to. This liner is worth the money. With two ends for precision definition, you can have total control.
For a more natural look of full eyebrows, the Chanel pencil is a fantastic pick. The kohl stays on the eyebrow hair so the color isn’t overly concentrated.
Eyeshadow with Dimension
In the gloomy Northeast, these shadows are perfect for a buildable pop of shimmer. My absolute favorite is the Sweet Heat dimension shimmer. I’ve found that this particular shadow can be built up for special events and lightly dusted for a gorgeous daytime look. I’m so excited to try other colors of the shadows!
